The upcoming Vision MCU show has added a new cast member.
As a gamer, I’m often recognized for my role as Stevie Budd in Schitt’s Creek, the popular TV show that ran on CBC Television from 2015 to 2020. Starring alongside me were Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy. Currently, I’m also making waves with my leading role in The Rig, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, which has already completed two seasons.
Currently, Hampshire has been confirmed for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she will share the screen with Paul Bettany in an upcoming series titled “The Vision,” a spin-off from “WandaVision.
Who is Emily Hampshire in the Vision MCU show?
According to the set timeline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Hampshire is assumed to operate “the advanced AI system E.D.I.T.H., also known as ‘Even Dead, I’m The Hero.’ This is Tony Stark’s enhanced reality security and defense system. In the MCU, E.D.I.T.H. was initially developed by Stark and passed on to Peter Parker after Stark’s demise. It offers control over Stark Industries’ worldwide satellite network, as well as a stockpile of missiles and drones.
In Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home, Dawn Michelle King initially provided the voice for the E.D.I.T.H. character. During that film, Peter temporarily gave Quentin Beck/Mysterio control over E.D.I.T.H., but later took it back. Unfortunately, this technology was then seized by the Damage Control department of the United States government.
It’s uncertain if Hampshire will be seen on screen as the character, or if he’s only providing the voice for the role, as of now.
Besides Bettany and Hampshire, the ensemble for the Vision MCU series also features James Spader portraying Ultron, T’Nia Miller taking on the role of Jocasta, Faran Tahir as character Raza, Todd Stashwick, and Ruaridh Mollica.
Or, more casually:
Bettany and Hampshire aren’t the only ones in the cast for the Vision MCU series – we’ve got James Spader playing Ultron, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Faran Tahir as Raza, Todd Stashwick, and Ruaridh Mollica too!
At present, specifics about the plot for the upcoming Marvel TV series are being kept secret. However, it’s expected that the storyline will revolve around the White Vision character, introduced in the finale of WandaVision. As of now, a release date for the show has not been announced yet.
