The prolonged anticipation for Season 7 may seem arduous, given that Season 6 was recently released in December 2024. However, rest assured, it’s set to arrive. We can likely anticipate the new season around late 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith leaves no room for doubt: “There’s still a lot more to explore with these characters.” It seems he is particularly referring to Mel and Jack, who got married in season 6, but a blissful future in Virgin River may be premature to assume.
Newlyweds, New Problems
In Season 7, we delve deeper into the lives of Mel and Jack as they navigate their newlywed journey, with tension lurking amidst every pine tree. Even though Charmaine’s deceit has been exposed, life isn’t returning to normalcy just yet. Will the future that Mel and Jack have longed for finally come true, or will old hurts and fresh difficulties drive them apart?
Not only that, but we’ll be rejoining Hope, Doc, Preacher, Kaia, and other beloved townsfolk. It seems their tales still have many chapters left to unfold.
New Faces In Town
In Season 7, you won’t find an entirely new set of actors – rest assured, the beloved characters will still be present. However, prepare for some changes as a handful of new faces will make their way to Virgin River, potentially stirring up some turbulence.
Sara Canning takes on the role of Victoria, a former police officer transforming into a doctor, and seeking romance. Simultaneously, Cody Kearsley portrays Clay, a hardened bull rider on a journey to unearth his estranged sister.
