As a die-hard Virgin River fan who’s been following this heartwarming series since its debut, I can confidently say that the Season 6 trailer has sent a wave of excitement through me! The anticipation for Jack and Mel’s wedding has been building up steadily, and with the show’s return on December 19, I can hardly contain my enthusiasm.
The upcoming Season 6 trailer for “Virgin River” hints at the events leading to Jack’s (Martin Henderson) and Mel’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) wedding, as the series is set to stream again on Netflix starting December 19.
In the next chapter, we delve into the storyline set amidst the couple’s spring wedding, offering new surprises, more love intrigues, and revelations about Mel’s father that will be unveiled. This particular plot point is a part of a flashback episode, which transports us back to the 1970s.

What happens in the Virgin Season 6 trailer?
The video opens showing Jack donning his wedding attire. At this point, Mel taps on the door, inquiring if he’s prepared, and he gazes fixedly straight ahead. Subsequently, the trailer showcases the townsfolk, with Mel expressing her excitement for the upcoming wedding. Despite the nearly two-minute clip providing a sneak peek into the lives of all Virgin River characters, including unexpected romantic pairings, it predominantly highlights the story of Mel and Jack as they prepare to wed.
The trailer shows a glimpse of Mel’s parents too, with Jessica Rothe portraying Mel’s deceased mother Sarah, and George Kerr playing Everett, Mel’s father, known from the show Hollyoaks. Previously, there were rumors about Netflix developing a prequel series centered around Mel’s parents, revealing their love story. Additionally, it has been verified that Virgin River will continue for its seventh season.
