Vijay Deverakonda‘s upcoming film, Kingdom, has been generating a lot of excitement. However, he recently found himself in a legal predicament after some remarks he made at an event seemed to cause issues.
According to a report from Telugu Chitraalu, attorney Kishan Lal Chauhan has lodged a complaint against the star of Dear Comrade at the SR Nagar police station in Hyderabad. The actor’s comments made during the pre-release event for Retro have been found offensive by the Adivasis community, who feel they were insulted by his statements.
In essence, Vijay Deverakonda discussed the contemporary socio-political landscape of the nation and drew parallels with the conflicts involving the Adivasis five centuries past. He articulated his thoughts on how those historical figures were compelled to offer apologies for their misdeeds.
The indigenous people, known as Adivasis, assert that these statements were disrespectful towards them and are asking for an immediate apology from the actor. The authorities have launched an inquiry into this matter, but so far, there’s been no response from Vijay regarding the controversy.
Currently, everyone’s attention is focused on his upcoming major production titled “Kingdom,” directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Set to hit theaters on May 30, this film has generated quite a bit of excitement.

Additionally, there’s a lot of chatter on various online platforms about Vijay’s private life. It’s not secret information, but there are whispers that he may be romantically involved with his previous acting partner, Rashmika Mandanna.
