Recently, Vijay Deverakonda found himself in the spotlight following a complaint lodged over a comment he made at the Retro pre-release event. The complainant pointed out that his statement appeared to be disrespectful towards the Adivasi community, and they requested an immediate apology from him.
Now, the actor posted an apology on his social media platform, explaining that his previous statements were not meant to instigate discord but rather promote unity and tranquility. Vijay clarified this point.

For those not aware, Vijay was present at the audio launch event for Suriya’s movie, Retro. There, he spoke about the contemporary social and political conditions in our nation.
He subsequently drew a parallel between the situation and past conflicts among indigenous tribes, explaining that those involved previously needed to express regret for their transgressions.
It’s claimed that this remark offended the feelings of the tribal community, and attorney Kishan Lal Chauhan actually filed a complaint against the artist at the SR Nagar police station in Hyderabad.
