As a dedicated follower of Tamil cinema who has seen my fair share of films, I must say that Viduthalai Part 2 is a breath of fresh air. Having grown up in the heart of Tamil Nadu, I’ve always had a soft spot for movies that delve deep into our rich culture and politics.
Title Two, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori, hits theaters today, December 20th. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film has received praise for its powerful narrative. If you’re considering catching this gripping crime drama at the cinema, take a look at these Twitter reviews shared by online users on social media.
In a post on X, a social media user praised the performances in the movie “Viduthalai Part 2” during the first half, stating it was powerful with dialogues that packed a punch like bullets. The post also emphasized that the movie openly referred to Dravidam, Tamil nation, and communism policies. They went on to mention @VijaySethuOffl, @ManjuWarrier4, and @sooriofficial, expressing their belief that they were all spot-on in their roles.
Another social media user called Viduthalai Part 2 engaging and wrote, “Initial 30 Mins was Terrific. VJS is stealing the show. Focused on politics this much but it’s interesting. Dialogues & Actions are raw and rustic.”
A cinema-goer rated a movie as 4.75 out of 5 and commented, “#ViduthalaiPart2 – Director VetriMaaran masterfully presents intense scenes while also delicately depicting romantic moments. A memorable love scene featuring VijaySethupathi & ManjuWarrier. Exceptional performance by VJS.
A netizen called the sequel to Viduthalai a banger and posted, “#ViduthalaiPart2 First Half – Above average to Good. Started off with a Banger & hard hitting 30 mins. Filled with Flashback of VJS… Contemporary portions were just 15 mins. Few scenes felt dragged due to the over usage of Revolution !! VijaySethupathi as performer peaked in many scenes. ManjuWarrier, Ken Karunas & Kishore was Good.”
The film kicks off with a powerful opening scene, and the first 40 minutes are incredibly engaging. VJS has a larger role compared to Soori, and the dialogue is exceptionally sharp. Vetrimaaran delivers an exceptional performance in this movie.
In a recent post, a social media user complimented Vetrimaaran, saying “Vetrimaaran keeps winning. This film manages to work, even though it’s heavy on dialogue exposition. However, his quick thinking during script improvisation and reshoots have also made the final product a bit too dense. I hope he tones things down in his future projects.
