The Viduthalai film series, consisting of two parts, is widely recognized as one of the top-tier historical crime thrillers in Tamil cinema. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the first movie premiered in 2023, with its sequel hitting screens a year later. Lately, the creators have shared an unused scene from Viduthalai Part 1, generating significant curiosity among viewers.
In sharp focus, an understated but tense dialogue unfolds between Kumaresan and Tamilarasi, two intriguing figures.
The key part of the unfolding story is a somewhat uncomfortable yet passionate exchange between characters Kumaresan and Tamilarasi.
Both sentences convey the same meaning and maintain a conversational tone while using different words to create variety and avoid repetition.
The brief 5-minute, 5-second video starts off showing Soori’s character Kumaresan and Bhavani Sre’s character Tamilarasi having an unexpected meeting. When Kumaresan pulls over to repair his car at a garage, Tamilarasi, who is carrying firewood, gets surprised by him. She mistakenly assumes his occupation, doubting whether he is a police officer or a mechanic.
After mending my vehicle, I find myself strolling alongside Tamilarasi in the dense forest, addressing her queries along the way. Our dialogue deepens as we traverse further, becoming increasingly open and captivating.

Speaking about the global box office earnings of the movie Viduthalai Part 1, it had an impressive stint at cinemas, amassing approximately Rs 61 crore in total before wrapping up its theatrical run.
The film garnered appreciation from critics due to its compelling narrative, excellent cast selection, and outstanding acting, receiving special recognition for its script. Of note, the initial edition concluded with an intentional suspenseful moment, thus laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installment.
For those unfamiliar, both movies are adaptations of the short story “Thunaivan” by Jeyamohan. In 1987, the narrative centers around a police officer tasked with apprehending the head of a secessionist movement.
In this movie, you’ll find actors like Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, and some additional talented individuals on the screen.
