Twelve years after the original sitcom wrapped up, Nickelodeon’s hit musical comedy “Victorious” is set for a comeback as a fresh spin-off called “Hollywood Arts“. The production company seems to be moving swiftly on this project, with auditions already underway.
Who is involved in Hollywood Arts?
In this upcoming season of Hollywood Arts, we’ll see the comeback of Daniella Monet, who starred as Trina Vega on Victorious and is most recognized for being Tori’s elder sister. Previously, Monet has taken up an executive producer role, joining forces with writer Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin in this capacity. Farrow has previously worked on the series Sam & Cat, a crossover spin-off from iCarly and Victorious. However, Dan Schneider, who initially created the show, will not be participating in this project as he parted ways with Nickelodeon back in 2018.
The show “Victorious,” which aired from 2010 to 2013, lasted for four seasons. The storyline revolved around the character Tori Vega, played by Victoria Justice, who is an aspiring singer. She gets admitted to Hollywood Arts High School where she encounters her talented friends like Andre Harris, Cat Valentine, Jade West, Beck Oliver, and Robbie Shapiro. In addition to these characters, Ariana Grande, Leon Thomas, Elizabeth Gillies, and Avan Jogia were part of the cast. During its broadcast, it was nominated for two Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Children’s Program category.
Apart from her role in Victorious, Monet has also appeared in numerous teen-focused TV shows from the early 2000s, such as Zoey 101, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and even shared screen time with Drake Bell in A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! She’s also starred in films like Nancy Drew alongside Emma Roberts, Taking Five featuring the boy band The Click Five, and various other projects.
