In his latest talk, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares disclosed reasons behind the postponement of their electric Ram pickup truck, as reported by CNBC. Although Tavares didn’t go into specifics about the root causes of the delay, he did hint that they are mainly working on guaranteeing an exceptional quality for when the EV Ram eventually hits the market.
In 2025, Stellantis is expected to introduce one of the initial vehicles manufactured using their STLA Frame platform for bigger trucks and Jeep SUVs – this vehicle will be an electric Ram pickup truck. The Ram model will offer two options: a fully electric version and an extended-range option named the “Ramcharger,” which combines both a gas engine and an electric generator.
