Currently, Vikram’s latest movie, Veera Dheera Sooran, is garnering significant attention due to its exceptional reception among viewers. Despite a minor setback on its premiere day, with some screenings being postponed or canceled due to undisclosed financial disputes between the producer and an unspecified party, the box office earnings for the film have been steadily climbing.
At last, producer Shibu Thameens has spoken up about the issue. On X (previously known as Twitter), he expressed his apologies for the delay and made it clear that the cause of the delay wasn’t because of any financial issues on his end.

I want to express my apologies to Vikram sir, SU Arunkumar, the crew, distributors, exhibitors, fans, and everyone who has been eagerly waiting, for the delay in the release of our film. I’d like to put an end to any speculation about the cause of this delay. Contrary to rumors, it’s not due to financial difficulties on our producers’ part. Instead, the company that holds the OTT rights (outright sale) was unable to sell them before the theatrical release. To protect their investment, we had to halt the release at the last minute and renegotiate.
Regarding the movie under discussion, it’s worth noting that the action film featuring Vikram had an opening day box office intake of around Rs 3.85 crores, even though there was a slight postponement at first.
It’s important to mention that Veera Dheera Sooran is a highly awaited production for the actor, given the tremendous success of his previous film, Thangalaan. This has led to increased excitement that this new project will also be a big success.
Remarkably, the sequel for the film directed by S.U. Arun Kumar is set to release before the prequel has completed production.
In addition to Chiyaan Vikram as the main character, this movie features an impressive ensemble including SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, Maruthi Prakashraj, Prudhvi Raj, Balaji, and more talented actors.
