Right now, Vijay Deverakonda is getting ready for the premiere of his upcoming action drama, provisionally called VD12. This movie is being directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. Originally planned to debut in cinemas on March 28, 2025, the release date has been moved back due to unexpected events.
123Telugu reports that VD12 may premiere in theaters on May 30th of this year; yet, fans eagerly anticipate a formal announcement from the production team.
Naga Vamsi, the producer, recently disclosed an engaging news tidbit regarding VD12. In a chat, he unveiled that the movie will be divided into two distinct sections, with each segment featuring its own narrative. Essentially, these parts will be considered standalone films. Moreover, he mentioned that approximately 80% of the filming has already been finished.
According to Naga Vamsi, as reported by the publication, “VD12 is set to astound audiences with its grandeur. Some might think it’s a low-key production, but it carries weight and promises to be an extravagant spectacle when shown on the big screen.
Vijay Deverakonda is utterly dedicated to his upcoming movie VD12, despite encountering difficulties during production. Previously, it was reported that the actor experienced a minor injury while filming an intense action scene. Yet, he opted against taking a rest and persisted with his work as planned.
Following some challenges in his past projects, Vijay is resolved to stage a powerful resurgence. He’s been putting in tremendous effort towards his preparations. Simultaneously, the filming for VD12 is moving swiftly and is almost done.

My character reportedly carries some dark nuances, and my scenes with Arjun Reddy’s lead actor are anticipated to be a pivotal aspect of the movie.
Instead, it’s looking promising that Bhagyashree Borse might take on the role of the main female character. Fans are anxiously anticipating an official confirmation about this possibility.
