The CEO of Granity Studios, Vanessa Bryant, has generously given contributions to aid those impacted by the intense Los Angeles fire. In a show of solidarity, the widow of the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant posted an Instagram video collage expressing her support for people who were forced to flee their homes due to the Palisades fire.
Vanessa Bryant makes donation to LA Fire Relief
Philanthropist Vanessa Bryant is contributing her efforts to aid the Los Angeles community, which is struggling after losing homes due to the city’s fires. As part of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, she donated more than 8,000 items of clothing and sneakers. On Instagram, she shared pictures and videos from the donation initiative, expressing gratitude towards those who lent a helping hand in rebuilding Los Angeles.
Today, the 42-year-old mother of four posted on @MambaMambacitaSports: “Today, we made our first move in assisting children and families who had to leave their homes because of the Los Angeles fires.” She also thanked “our loved ones, friends old and new, for helping us distribute clothing and shoes today!” The post continued, “We couldn’t have managed this without your help. A long journey of recovery lies ahead for LA, so keep an eye out for our future efforts to aid in the rebuilding process.
Back in 2007, Bryant embarked on a charitable path by establishing the VIVO Foundation alongside her late spouse, Kobe Bryant. Afterward, it was renamed the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation. This organization offers scholarships to underrepresented college students across the globe.
Later on, Vanessa was not only a founder but also a significant donor for the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Following the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna, Vanessa took the decision to rename the Mamba Sports Foundation – a charity previously associated with retired basketball player Kobe Bryant. The new name, Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, served as a tribute to her late daughter’s legacy.
Apart from that, Vanessa launched the Mambacita collection of apparel as a tribute to her child. This venture was a joint effort with another female-led brand, Dannijo. It’s worth noting that all profits generated by this clothing line will be contributed to the Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Apart from her social duties, Vanessa is additionally the head of Granity Studios – a content firm that carried out Kobe Bryant’s original vision. To date, under this studio, eight of Kobe’s books have been published. Moreover, The Punies, a podcast conceptualized by Kobe himself, is managed by this company as well.
