Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 delayed to first half of 2025

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tinge of deja vu when it comes to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Delay after delay, the game seems to be caught in an eternal twilight, much like its titular creatures.

As a passionate admirer, I’m sharing an update about Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Regrettably, the release date has been postponed yet again, taking us into the first half of 2025. This game has had a rough journey, with lead changes, personnel shuffles, and previous delays along the way. Currently, The Chinese Room is diligently working to uphold Paradox’s commitment to delivering an exceptional gaming experience.

In a blog post on their website, Paradox Interactive revealed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be experiencing another delay, moving its release date from initial plans to the first half of 2025. Despite being in a stage where it could have been released according to schedule, both Paradox and Chinese Room felt it necessary to extend development time to ensure a smoother, polished gameplay experience.

In early 2021, there was a significant shift in the development of Bloodlines 2 when Hardsuit Labs handed over the project. Since then, The Chinese Room, known for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, has taken charge. Despite this change, Bloodlines 2 has still faced numerous postponements, even leading to the dismissal of longtime Vampire: The Masquerade writer Brian Mitsoda.

The final appearance of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is yet uncertain as its launch is scheduled for the first half of 2025. Keep an eye out as we eagerly await more news regarding this highly anticipated game.
