Valorant, a highly-acclaimed multiplayer shooter, has grown even larger since its console release earlier this year. Despite already being fantastic, the developers at Riot Games are consistently working on enhancing the experience through new content. This often involves introducing fresh agents and maps, but a recent leak suggests that an exciting, massive new feature is under development for both console and PC players.

Exciting times lie ahead for Valorant fans! Riot Games has unveiled details about update 9.09, as well as the Episode 9 patch schedule running up to mid-December. Furthermore, future enhancements to the multiplayer experience involve migrating from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. Based on information from ValorLeaks, it appears that “Valorant” is soon going to introduce a new feature called “Gifting”. As shared by Mike, this feature is currently being worked on and is expected to be accessible on both PC and console platforms.

In other words, although the exact details aren’t clear yet, players will be given an option to share particular items or groups of items as gifts.

In essence, although the details remain unknown, it appears that the mechanism will likely operate in a manner analogous to the gift-sending system used in League of Legends (LoL). In LoL, there are two methods to send gifts to other players; one method is via the in-game store and another through the social panel within the LoL client.

It’s currently undisclosed when the gifting feature will become available in Valorant, so players should not anticipate its immediate arrival. Additionally, it will be intriguing to discover whether players on different platforms will be able to send each other gifts.

Crossplay can be done on PS5 and Xbox platforms, but keep in mind that these are the only options for now.
