Ustaad Bhagat Singh: Telugu remake of Vijay’s Theri gets permanently shelved? Producer issues statement

To this day, Thalapathy Vijay’s movie Theri continues to be cherished as a cult classic. Even though many years have passed since its premiere, the film still enjoys a devoted following among fans. Remarkably, it has been adapted for release in multiple languages as well.

For example, Indian actor Varun Dhawan is currently starring in the Hindi adaptation of a movie named Baby John.

Previously, a Telugu adaptation of the film “Theri” was also planned, with parts of it already being filmed. This upcoming production is called “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” and features Pawan Kalyan in the main character.

It’s intriguing that since the project was first unveiled, we haven’t received any new information regarding its release date. This has led to speculation online that the project might have been cancelled.

At a recent gathering, the film’s producer shed light on the ongoing Harish Shankar-directed project, clarifying several aspects of it.

According to him, Kalyan sir’s movie is set to be released next year. When a film by him comes out, there won’t be another pan-India film with as much anticipation. Harish Shankar sir has already finalized the script, and it’s quite remarkable. We are eagerly waiting for Kalyan sir to confirm his availability. We plan to complete the production this year and release the movie next year, no matter what.

Now, I find myself following the path of Pawan Kalyan, who juggles his roles both on and off screen. As the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he skillfully manages his political duties, while maintaining his presence before the camera.

The upcoming movie titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu is now under production and is anticipated to wrap up shooting shortly.

Other projects in his pipeline include They Call Him OG as well.
