As a devoted follower of captivating comedies and emerging talents, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming untitled Rachel Sennott comedy series! Having garnered recognition for her exceptional performances in Shiva Baby, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Bottoms, and I Used to Be Funny, Sennott’s latest collaboration with HBO is a testament to her versatility and comedic prowess.
HBO has now given the green light for production on its yet-to-be-named Rachel Sennott comedy series, which was initially approved for a pilot in March of last year. In this upcoming series, Rachel Sennott will not only star as the leading character but also serve as the creator, scriptwriter, and executive producer.
In a press release, Amy Gravitt, HBO and Max Comedy Programming’s executive vice president, stated that Rachel is both hilarious and charming. She added that when combined with Lorene and Emma, they have perfectly portrayed the humor and beauty that ensues when friendships intersect with our carefully planned lives. The team and cast are exceptional, and the network is excited to continue their partnership with them.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be part of this unnamed comedy ensemble! Joining me are some fantastic talents like Odessa A’zion (from Grand Army), Jordan Firstman (Dave), Miles Robbins (Blockers), and True Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem). The synopsis for the show states: “A close-knit yet codependent circle of friends reconvene to explore how their individual journeys of separation, personal growth, and fresh romances have reshaped each one of them.
In her most recent partnership with HBO, following her acting role alongside Lily-Rose Depp in “The Idol” series, Sennott achieved notability for her performance in the 2020 comedy film “Shiva Baby,” where she also served as executive producer. Other significant movie roles on her resume include “Bodies Bodies Bodies,” “Bottoms,” and “I Used to Be Funny.” Upcoming, you’ll find Sennott appearing in Jason Reitman’s biopic comedy film titled “Saturday Night.
