The Universal Orlando Resort has revealed the start dates for their upcoming Holiday festivities. Starting next month, guests can enjoy a variety of fresh experiences, with some popular spots within the park being transformed into holiday-themed destinations.
From November 22 to December 31, 2024, Universal Orlando Resort will provide a “joyous collection of festive activities based on cherished characters and tales.” This includes Christmas-themed embellishments in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as the visit of characters such as the Grinch.
During the holiday season, Universal Orlando’s hotels will not only join in the festivities but will also be adorned with seasonal décor and special events such as The Universal Holiday Tour and The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast.

Celebrating Christmas within the magical realm of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure
This holiday season, visitors will immerse themselves in enchanting holiday ambiance as they traverse Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, both bedecked with festive decorations, garlands, and twinkling lights. In Hogsmeade, guests can savor a Hot Butterbeer and watch captivating holiday-themed performances by the renowned Frog Choir, a group of Hogwarts students accompanied by their colossal frogs. Meanwhile, in Diagon Alley, they can groove to the tunes of the sensationally popular Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. As dusk descends on Hogsmeade, the mesmerizing nighttime display, “Christmas Magic at Hogwarts Castle,” returns, casting a spellbinding projection show onto Hogwarts castle that celebrates Christmas moments and holiday cheer drawn from the beloved characters and tales of the “Harry Potter” movies.
Grinchmas at Universal Islands of Adventure
Visitors can experience a real-life reenactment of the Dr. Seuss Christmas tale, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” in the captivating stage production known as “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.” Additionally, Seuss Landing offers an immersive journey to Who-ville, where guests will be enveloped by whimsical holiday decorations and have the opportunity to meet the Whos. Furthermore, they might even get a chance for a photograph with the grumpiest resident of all – the Grinch!
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s at Universal Studios Florida
In Universal Studios Florida, the beloved stories and characters from Illumination’s Despicable Me, DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar, plus treasured holiday traditions, are brought to life in an extravaganza! Giant balloons and colorful floats depict these popular tales during Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. The parade ends with a magical moment: Santa Claus makes a special appearance, followed by the illumination of a stunning 80-foot Christmas tree.
The fun continues beyond the celebrations as visitors can indulge in themed meals and beverages, shop for holiday items at the brand-new Holiday Tribute Store, interact with characters dressed for the holidays such as beloved Earl the Squirrel, and embark on a new Holiday Nutcracker Scavenger Hunt that will lead them through Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk.
