Unconfirmed Xenoblade Chronicles X PC release bizarrely listed on Microsoft Game Assist titles

Microsoft asserts an unusual announcement: The upcoming Microsoft Edge Game Assist functionality is expected to accommodate a PC edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Exclusively available on Nintendo’s Wii U and Switch consoles, the advanced Xenoblade series game hasn’t been officially announced for release on any other platforms. Yet, surprisingly, Microsoft’s official site mentions it as a compatible PC game.

Moving to the Microsoft Edge Game Assist help center, where you can effortlessly locate tutorials and hints, finds the Nintendo game included among the “optimized games” in their service offering.

The built-in game browser functions as a layer within the game itself, eliminating the need for players to switch between windows by alt-tabbing out of their games. This handy tool is integrated into Xbox Game Bar, a feature that many PC gamers seldom take advantage of.

Besides popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, GTA V and others, Xenoblade Chronicles X appears last on Microsoft’s official list.

For two days now, since gamers initially spotted the game on Microsoft’s list of titles, it hasn’t been taken down. Moreover, neither Nintendo nor any other sources have provided updates suggesting a possible release for PC.

Although PlayStation and Xbox often make their console exclusive games available on PC, Nintendo has not followed suit. Xenoblade is a signature game for Nintendo, and there’s no indication that they will bring their console games to PC. Yet, if any title were to receive a complete PC adaptation, this spin-off game could be an excellent choice to gauge interest in bringing more Nintendo games to the platform.

At the moment of composition, it seems there might have been an error on Microsoft’s part, or perhaps Game Assist may recognize it when played through emulators like CEMU or Yuzu. Regardless, it appears that a release of Xenoblade Chronicles X for PC is unlikely at present, though it would certainly be exciting if it happened.
