Having followed their careers closely, it’s fascinating to witness their evolution as artists and the powerful stories they bring to life on screen.
The critically acclaimed film “Ullozhukku,” featuring actresses Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu, was initially released on June 21, 2024. Now, this highly regarded production is preparing for its debut on digital streaming platforms outside India.

In the movie “Ullozhukku,” Parvathy Thiruvothu and Urvashi play the main roles. This film is based in Kerala and tells a compelling story filled with drama. The two skilled actresses portray the relationship of a mother and daughter-in-law as they work together to give their dear one a final resting place.
In regions prone to flooding, funerals are sometimes delayed. Yet, these postponements can unearth hidden truths among the family, causing distress and undermining the bond of trust.
Currently, the film can be streamed exclusively outside India. But based on recent news, it’s anticipated that the movie will become accessible in India through Amazon Prime Video by early August. Nevertheless, a definitive announcement regarding this matter is still pending.
In “The Movie” directed by Christo Tomy, you’ll find several notable actors including Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veenah Naair, Prashanth Murali, Shebin Benson, Alencier Ley Lopez, and Jaya Kurup, among others, delivering compelling performances. Additionally, the film’s screenplay was distinguished as a winner in Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Contest back in 2018.
On the work front
Urvashi, an accomplished actress with experience in multiple languages, will appear next in the Tamil film “Andhagan.” This movie, helmed by Thiagarajan, who is also an actor and Prashanth’s father, is a remake of the 2018 Hindi production “Andhadhun,” which featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu in leading roles.
The film featuring Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, K.S. Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijayakumar, and others, is scheduled for release on the cinemas’ main screens on August 15, 2024. Despite finishing filming in 2022, the premiere has been delayed several times beforehand.
In contrast, Parvathy Thiruvothu will appear in the highly anticipated Tamil film “Thangalaan.” This movie, helmed by Pa Ranjith, boasts Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan as its main actors. The historical fantasy action picture is slated for release on Independence Day.
