Emerging musical groups could greatly benefit from any assistance they can find as they strive to gain recognition. Particularly when they create exceptional music, dedicate themselves tirelessly, and consistently inject an enjoyable atmosphere – not just for their own enjoyment but also for the delight of their followers and spectators alike.
Without a doubt, it’s true for a British band embarking on their inaugural U.S. headlining tour – a significant leap in their career. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame may seem far off, but every journey begins with the first step.
Towards the end of last year, a band hailing from Wales secured representation by WMA and sealed an American record deal with Thirty Tigers. Despite this strong backing, there’s always apprehension regarding ticket sales performance. Fortunately, for the Cardinal Black, ticket sales have been impressive so far.
In March, it was revealed that there would be 12 concerts in various cities across the US and one in Toronto, all happening in August. A performance in New York City quickly sold out within hours, but the situation is being addressed as the band has decided to move the event from The Mercury Lounge to a larger venue, The Gramercy Theatre. Other dates are also selling swiftly, with Atlanta, Georgia now joining the list of sell-out shows.
UK band the Cardinal Black, superb live with new album coming soon
It’s not surprising for those who have witnessed the band perform or heard their debut album, released in 2022 titled “January Came Close“. Singer Tom Hollister boasts a remarkable voice that fits perfectly with their rock, rhythm, and blues genre. This is further enhanced by Chris Buck and Adam Roberts’ exceptional guitar skills and drum playing respectively, ensuring they stay on track.
Cardinal Black truly shines during live performances. It’s always an enjoyable event with a lively ambiance, and they boast a collection of fantastic tunes that only grow more impressive. Their second album, Midnight At The Valencia, is set to be released soon, along with several early singles from it.
The upcoming album is set to drop on May 25th and can be preordered right away. So far, two tracks have been unveiled, both maintaining the impressive sound from their initial release. The first single was titled “Keep On Running,” with “Need More Time” being the latest release since then.
You can find some fantastic, backstage glimpses of the making of their promotional video for the new single on the band’s engaging and entertaining Instagram page. It’s definitely worth checking out!
Initially, the tour will focus on North America. Afterward, there’s a European tour segment coming up. In October, the band is scheduled to perform in the UK and Dublin for 14 consecutive nights. This will be followed by 11 shows spread across the rest of Europe in November and December. I’ve already booked my tickets and am eagerly waiting for the event. If you have an opportunity to attend, don’t miss it!
