Uglies Trailer Previews Netflix’s Joey King Dystopian Thriller

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for dystopian worlds and coming-of-age stories, I can hardly contain my excitement over the trailer for Netflix’s “Uglies.” Having spent countless hours immersed in games like “Mass Effect” and “The Last of Us,” where appearances often hide deeper truths and rebellion against oppressive systems is the norm, this film seems tailor-made for me.

Netflix recently unveiled a trailer for the upcoming dystopian teen drama “Uglies,” set to debut on its platform on September 13. The movie is an adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s 2005 sci-fi novel and features Joey King in the lead role.

“In a future where everyone undergoes cosmetic surgery at 16 to fit into society, Tally is excited for her turn. However, when a friend escapes, Tally sets off on a mission to rescue her, which turns her world upside down.”
