Ubisoft recently announced the creation of a new division within their company, which will now house some of their most iconic brands: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, this strategic shift is a significant milestone in transforming the way Ubisoft operates…

Recently, this announcement was made, following closely on the heels of Ubisoft’s disclosure from a couple of months ago about bringing in business consultants to explore various strategic possibilities for the company’s future. In October, whispers circulated suggesting that Ubisoft’s ownership might have been engaged in negotiations with Tencent regarding a possible acquisition.

Ubisoft has recently launched “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows,” which has already exceeded sales of 3 million units globally.
