As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the anticipation for Two Point Museum is like a well-preserved mummy waiting to be unveiled – it’s electrifying! After dabbling in their previous games and being thoroughly entertained, I can confidently predict that Two Point Studios has once again crafted an engaging experience.
Ready for a peek at Two Point Studios’ upcoming game? This time around, they’re blending their signature humor with strategic museum management! In Two Point Museum, you’ll be in charge of displaying a collection of ancient art and historical finds, all while creating an engaging experience that keeps visitors coming back and generously donating to your institution. We’ve had the chance to try out a bit of Two Point Museum, and it looks like yet another stellar release from this talented team!
Manage a gallery of wonders
Two Point Studios’ latest creation, Two Point Museum, builds upon their past games’ mechanics, introducing fresh themes for an engaging experience. The aim is to transform a struggling or shabby museum into a captivating destination, enticing visitors and encouraging them to part with their money. In our gameplay session, we began by arranging existing exhibits within attractive surroundings, adding informative signs, hiring staff for maintenance and cleanliness, setting up donation points, and decorating the area to enhance its appeal.
After laying the groundwork, it’s time for us to broaden our museum with captivating exhibits to entice visitors to keep coming back. To achieve this goal, you’ll need to undertake tasks that introduce a touch of unpredictability to Two Point Museum. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock various mission locations offering diverse exhibit possibilities. However, these sites may also pose risks to your staff or hinder your progress if things don’t go as planned. If your expedition team is successful, they’ll return with an exhibit that can be added to our museum gallery and additional attractions built around it. There are even multi-part exhibits like dinosaur skeletons that can initially be displayed in pieces, gaining more attention as you collect all the parts to showcase the complete specimen. Spend a significant amount of time on missions at a specific site, and you’ll unlock new sites where hidden treasures remain undiscovered.
Since missions necessitate one team member to depart from the museum for several days, it’s wise to maintain a few staff members who can handle on-site duties during this time while others explore potential new exhibits. This is particularly important given the risk of mission failure, which could result in injuries or even more severe consequences to our intrepid experts.
Beyond the main displays, you’ll also need to provide additional facilities and hire staff. This includes ticket sellers and shop attendants, security personnel to ensure safety and manage donations, and cleaners to keep things tidy after your visitors. A break room for employees, restrooms for both staff and guests, and more space for new exhibits will be necessary as well. Over time, your museum is likely to become a lively and vibrant hub, attracting many visitors eager to explore its treasures.
Make your museum marvelous
From the get-go, I was captivated by Two Point Museum’s appeal. It maintains the endearing quirkiness that Two Point is known for, featuring familiar witty radio hosts and soothing tunes to accompany your museum happenings. Moreover, it offers an intriguing mechanic where missions whisk away your staff, posing risks for potential rewards. These rewards manifest in eye-catching additions to exhibit, enabling business growth, maintaining financial stability, and unlocking fresh missions for even more engaging displays. In essence, Two Point Museum seems poised to transform the exploration of ancient history into an enjoyable pursuit.
As a longtime fan of simulation games, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming release of Two Point Museum. Having played and enjoyed previous titles from the same publisher, I am confident that this new game will be just as engaging and entertaining. Although I don’t yet have a specific date for its launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, I am certain that it won’t disappoint. Based on my past experiences with their games, I can only imagine the level of detail and creativity that will go into this museum-themed simulator.
