The prospect of Boss Team Games, with John Carpenter’s input, breathing new life into this classic franchise is nothing short of spine-tingling.
The game development studio known as Boss Team Games, famous for the 2022 version of Evil Dead, is currently working on two video games inspired by the 1978 horror movie Halloween. One of these projects utilizes Unreal Engine 5 and will involve creative input from John Carpenter, who both directed the original film and created its well-known theme music.
As a long-time fan of the slasher film franchise, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear about Boss Team Games’ upcoming Halloween games! Growing up, these movies were a staple of my horror-loving childhood and played a big role in shaping my love for the genre. The thought of getting to relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time is truly exciting. I can’t wait to see what Boss Team Games and the producers of the series have in store for us, and I’m sure these games will be a huge hit with fans like myself.
The developer failed to provide specific details about gameplay for both of their Halloween releases. Notably, Boss Team Games, who recently created Evil Dead, a multiplayer game based on the 1981 horror film with an asymmetrical format, have not confirmed whether one of the upcoming Halloween games will follow this style.
As a longtime fan of horror films and video games, I am thrilled to see that some of my favorite movie franchises are getting video game adaptations.
