Twitch Streamer's Spelling Mistake Made Platform Change Its Own Name

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for following gaming personalities, I must say the recent “Twitch-gate” incident left me both amused and slightly bewildered. Kelley, or herokerrey as she’s known in the streaming world, is no stranger to entertaining blunders, but this one took the cake. To have a multibillion-dollar company like Twitch donate to her charity stream and then have its name misspelled on her forehead – talk about an epic fail!

In her recent stream, herokerrey unintentionally misspelled a word with consequences greater than she anticipated.

Twith

On August 22nd, an event known as a charity stream was hosted by Kelley (also called herokerrey) for APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association). During this stream, viewers had the opportunity to donate $5 to have their name written on Kelley’s body. Notably, Twitch itself made a donation of $5 and requested that “Twitch” be written on Kelley’s forehead.

Man, let me tell you, I learned the hard way that writing on your forehead isn’t a walk in the park. Just like when Kelly tried to write ‘Twitch’, but ended up with ‘Twith’ on hers instead. Oops!

Twitch Shows Humor

“Twith” showed some mercy and wrote in the chat:

U were so close

And took it even further on X. For a short time, Twitch’s official X account was called “Twith”.
