As a seasoned gamer with memories of the original Twisted Metal series etched deep within my gaming console’s memory banks, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Season 2 of this Peacock gem! With Anthony Mackie at the helm and the addition of talented newcomers like Anthony Carrigan as Calypso, it feels like we’re not just stepping into a new game, but a whole new world.


As a passionate gamer and die-hard Twisted Metal fan, I couldn’t help but feel my heart race when Anthony Mackie, our very own Falcon from Captain America: Brave New World, posted exclusive behind-the-scenes shots from the set of Season 2 on his Instagram! It’s been more than a year since the series made its electrifying debut with a 10-episode first season that racked up an impressive 400 million viewing minutes, making it Peacock’s most-watched comedy premiere. Now, production for the next installment is officially underway, and I can hardly contain my excitement!

Who is involved in Twisted Metal Season 2?

According to the popular PlayStation game franchise Twisted Metal, the series’ writer and executive producer Michael Jonathan Smith oversees production. The show features comedy performances by Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, and Joe Seanoa. Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Lou Beatty Jr. are also in the cast. In season 2, new additions include Anthony Carrigan, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Tiana Okoye. Notably, Carrigan will portray Calypso, who was a significant antagonist in the original video game series.

The show is overseen by Mackie, Arnett, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Marc Forman, Jason Spire, Peter Principato, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Hermen Hulst as executive producers. Kitao Sakurai takes charge of directing several episodes. It originates from Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Universal Television.
