Who is in the Tron: Ares trailer?

In the trailer for Tron: Ares, Jared Leto takes on the character of an artificial entity named Ares, dispatched from the digital realm into our world for a perilous assignment. Meanwhile, Evan Peters portrays antagonist Julian Dillinger in the movie, and Jeff Bridges reappears as Kevin Flynn.

In the gaming world, I’m hyped about the ensemble of Tron: Ares, where I find myself joining forces with Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Hasan Minhaj, Gillian Anderson, and Sarah Desjardins. These digital warriors are set to bring this game to life!

The screenplay is penned by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne. Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger take on the role of producers. Russell Allen assumes the position of executive producer.

The Disney-produced Tron series started back in 1982, with Steven Lisberger serving as both writer and director for the initial film featuring actors like Bridges, Boxleitner, Warner, among others. The second installment, titled Tron: Legacy, hit screens in 2010. In the latest film, Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski took charge, with Bridges returning to his role and Garrett Hedlund portraying Sam Flynn and Olivia Wilde playing Quorra.

In the case of Tron films, both were recognized with Academy Award nominations. The original movie directed by Lisberger earned nominations for Best Costume Design and Best Sound, whereas Tron: Legacy received a nod for Best Sound Editing.

Furthermore, an animated series titled “Tron: Uprising” was launched on Disney XD in May 2012. This show consisted of 19 episodes, featuring a talented voice cast that includes Bruce Boxleitner, Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, and others.

On October 10, 2025, the movie Tron: Ares will hit theaters across the United States, distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Right now, you can watch Tron, Tron: Legacy, and Tron: Uprising on Disney+.
