The latest trailer for “Tron: Ares” has been released, revealing additional details about Jared Leto’s enigmatic AI persona who finds himself in the physical realm. Moreover, this sneak peek provides us with our initial glimpse of Jeff Bridges.
What occurs in the new Tron: Ares trailer?
As an enthusiastic fan, I’d put it this way: In the thrilling new trailer, we see Leto portraying the enigmatic AI character named Ares, introduced into our world by Julian Dillinger, played by Evan Peters. Ares is advertised as a prodigious warrior with the ability to respawn at will, but it appears that things take an unexpected turn for the worse.

As I dive into the virtual world of Tron: Ares, I’m not alone! It’s like being in a gaming dream team!
Ares” is the upcoming third installment in Disney’s Tron series, following “Tron” from 1982 and “Tron: Legacy” from 2010. The movie is helmed by director Joachim Rønning, known for his previous works such as “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” in 2019 and “Young Woman and the Sea” set to release in 2024. He also collaborated with Espen Sandberg on “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” in 2017. The screenplay for this film has been penned by Jesse Wigutow.
In U.S. theaters and IMAX, the movie Tron titled Ares will debut on October 10, 2025, courtesy of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
