Jackbox Games is aiming for a more active year by developing not only a fresh Jackbox Party Pack but also a separate game titled Trivia Murder Party 3. This new project will delve into territories that the Jackbox team isn’t typically familiar with, which means development may take a bit longer than initially expected. On Monday, Jackbox Games officially announced that Trivia Murder Party 3 will be available on Steam Early Access in 2026, moving away from its original release window of 2025.

We’ve made the decision to delay Trivia Murder Party 3 into 2026.
Right from the get-go, Trivia Murder Party 3 has emerged as one of our most challenging endeavors so far. We’re constructing this game using a fresh engine, marking it as our initial Jackbox production in quite some time to include online matchmaking. Additionally, we anticipate that it will be the first title we’ll consistently update with additional events and content post-launch.
It’s clear how deeply the Trivia Murder Party series resonates with both our fans and us as a team. We’re thrilled about working closely with you all to shape Trivia Murder Party 3 into something extraordinary. Our goal is to establish an ideal foundation for this project, one that can only be realized by offering our team the freedom, resources, and creative conditions they need to excel.

The Jackbox Games PR team reinforced their belief that excellent games stem from motivated creators rather than overworked ones, as they expressed in a statement. Unfortunately, Trivia Murder Party 3 is still under development and won’t be available soon, but you can add it to your wishlist on Steam in the meantime. On the positive side, The Jackbox Party Pack 11, which includes games like Legends of Trivia, is set to launch later this year across all platforms, with no expected delays for that particular release.
