This move has sparked interest among new audiences about how the story concludes.

Laila Majnu ending spoilers

In a heart-wrenching conclusion to the tale of Laila Majnu, Qais Bhatt (Majnu) succumbed to madness, roaming aimlessly through various locations. At one point, a villager inadvertently hit him on the head with a stone, pushing him deeper into his chaos, as he persistently spoke to an invisible Laila. Upon hearing about Qais’ decline, Laila, accompanied by her brothers, frantically searched for him. She went so far as to challenge the villagers to find out who had hurt him and cursed her parents for not allowing her to marry him.

Over time, I stumbled upon Qais, a man in dire straits. Yet, he failed to recognize the genuine me, Laila, and continued to cling to the false image he thought had been by his side all along. Stricken with grief, my eyes welled up with tears, and the weight of sorrow almost crushed me. Eventually, I succumbed to death. Upon learning of my demise, Qais hastily made his way to my grave, where he fell, bleeding profusely from a wound.

Did Qais (Majnu) and Laila get married?

The movie Laila Majnu starts by introducing Laila, a young woman from an esteemed family, receiving admiration from numerous suitors yet yearning for her one true match. One evening, Laila and her companion Ambreen visited a spring, where they unexpectedly crossed paths with a group of young men. This encounter caused them to run away in haste. Among these youths were Qais and his companions, who later on helped Laila retrieve her lost lantern.

After this meeting, Qais adopted Laila’s regular schedule. Over time, she became aware of his activities and found herself growing intrigued by him. When Laila questioned Qais about his actions, he playfully asserted that he was merely returning her flashlight. That night, he left a message for her saying he would not pursue her unless she indicated interest.

The following day saw Laila and Qais crossing paths at a wedding, where she shared her contact details with him. Over time, they found themselves conversing more frequently, eventually developing feelings for each other. Laila would frequently steal moments to hang out with Qais in his vehicle. Yet, their clandestine relationship was unveiled by Ibban, an advisor to Laila’s father, who then informed Masood Ahmed, her father.

On that very night, Masood discovered Laila and Qais in each other’s company. Qais, with a sense of assurance, promised Laila that he would discuss their potential union with her father and seek his approval. However, there was an ancient grudge between their families due to a long-standing land dispute, and Masood fiercely disapproved of their match. Qais’ father made an effort to negotiate the marriage with Masood, but instead, Masood insulted him and arranged for Laila to wed Ibban instead.

At first, Laila didn’t want to marry Ibban, but when they were getting married, she witnessed Qais harassing her father. Thinking Qais was in the wrong, Laila demanded he depart, and although hesitant, she eventually consented to marry Ibban.

What happened to Qais Bhatt (Majnu) & Laila?

Following Laila’s rejection, Qais ventured overseas, allowing the narrative to advance by four years. During this interval, tragedy struck when Qais’ father was assaulted and passed away. The news of his demise brought Qais back home. After bidding farewell to his father at the funeral, Qais reunited with his friends at a café, where he unexpectedly crossed paths with Laila once more, resurrecting his lingering emotions towards her.

After discovering that Qais was coming back, Laila chose to arrange a get-together with him. However, Laila’s spouse, Ibban (who is now a Member of Legislative Assembly), started applying significant influence on both Laila and her family. Once he found out about the encounter between Laila and Qais, he lashed out in anger by striking her forcefully. This event made Laila consider an escape plan to elope with Qais.

As an ardent admirer recounting the tale, I’d say: Overpowered by drug-induced delusions, I conspired to take the lives of Laila and Qais. Tragically, my own fate intertwined with the road as my vehicle crashed, ending my life. In readiness to flee together, Laila requested that Qais hold off on their elopement until the conclusion of her Iddat – a period of mourning or separation for a woman following the demise of her spouse or divorce. Upon hearing this, Qais, who had been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to marry Laila for quite some time, erupted into uncontrollable laughter, his mental health steadily deteriorating.

With the passage of time, Qais’ health deteriorated significantly. He started experiencing hallucinations, believing Laila was present everywhere around him, growing more disconnected from the real world. When Laila realized the state Qais was in and found he could not acknowledge her, she felt deeply saddened. Overburdened by guilt and sorrow for his plight, Laila eventually ended her life, attributing it to her perceived role in Qais’ condition.

In the end, it became clear that the prince from Laila’s nightly visions was none other than Qais – the man who appeared to her in her dreams daily. Their heart-wrenching tale serves as a poignant reminder of the profound love they shared and the tragic impact of their forced separation.
