As a seasoned blockchain researcher with years of experience under my belt, I find the decision by Treasure DAO to transition from Arbitrum to ZKsync an intriguing move. Having closely followed both ecosystems, it’s clear that this decision is a strategic one aimed at enhancing scalability and security – key factors in any successful blockchain endeavor.
In a recent update posted on their X account, the decentralized gaming platform Treasure has announced its intention to move from the Arbitrum blockchain to ZKsync. This shift comes as a result of a strong endorsement by the members of the Treasure Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) community in a vote that garnered significant support.
As per the DAO’s findings, a whopping 99.5% of votes were in favor of the proposition, encompassing the initiation of Treasure L2 within the ZKsync network.
Treasure DAO Embraces ZKsync’s ZK Stack Technology
Earlier this month, I expressed our intent to migrate Treasure DAO towards ZKsync. This transition supports our organization’s ongoing commitment to enhancing both scalability and security. That’s because ZKsync’s innovative ZK Stack technology is specifically designed to address these key concerns.
Initially, the DAO intended to use Arbitrum Orbit to reach its objective. But upon careful evaluation, it discovered ZKsync’s system to be more aligned with its long-term aspirations, and opted for that instead.
The DAO intends to leverage migration as a means to immediately enhance performance, scalability, and compatibility, but an indirect benefit it anticipates is that these upgrades will significantly improve the platform’s compatibility with the increasing number of blockchain games within its ecosystem.
Mainnet Launch Anticipated within 2 Months
As a crypto investor, I’m excited about the imminent launch of a new public testnet named Topaz. This testnet offers an early opportunity for both developers and myself to delve into this innovative landscape, paving the way for us to shape and refine it in anticipation of the mainnet’s full-scale release.
The mainnet is anticipated to go live within a maximum of two months’ time, as stated in a recent update from the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).
“The mainnet is targeted to launch within the next 1.5 to 2 months.”
Additionally, Treasure DAO is considering carrying out a token exchange during the migration phase, which involves swapping tokens from its ecosystem with the ZKsync Foundation.
As reported by the organization, this exchange is a crucial move set to occur in the near future. Given its significance in seamlessly transitioning assets and maintaining the uninterrupted operation of their platform on the updated blockchain, it’s understandable that extra care is being taken.
Ultimately, Treasure DAO affirms collaboration with more than ten blockchain-based games for their web3 gaming platform. The objective is to facilitate a seamless transition for both the developers and players of these games.
According to the organization, transitioning to ZKsync within the gaming community will deliver an optimal user experience, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with active gameplay or ongoing development projects.
