Is Travis Scott hinting at a possible collaboration with either Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter? In a recent interview, the rapper dropped hints about potential future projects involving these two artists, leaving fans speculating. Although he didn’t provide any specifics, he did share that he has some exciting ideas up his sleeve.
Here’s what Scott had to say about Swift and Carpenter and his thoughts on recent chart rankings.
What did Travis Scott say about Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter?
As I was chatting up with Billboard lately, I spilled the beans about my dream collaborations – and trust me, they’re big! If I could pick any two artists to team up with on a hook, it would be none other than Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter. The ideas I have brewing in my mind are simply insane, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to bring them to life.
Oh, and let’s not forget about Khruangbin – those guys are on my wishlist too! Can’t wait to see where this musical journey takes us all.
Scott commented on the contrast between Days Before Rodeo and Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet in terms of chart performance from 2024, saying, “Charts aren’t everything, buddy.” He questioned the significance of such measurements, stating instead, “Her album is great. Days Before Rodeo is a decade old now. It still holds its own.
In addition, he discussed his forthcoming music, mentioning that there were a few adjustments left to make regarding the album’s title. He expressed, “For Utopia, I was trying to take things to an exceptional level. I’m still working towards achieving that.” He continued, “I’ve been enjoying my time with music and experimenting, which I think is great to express oneself artistically. I’ve been delving deeper into the production process, crafting much of the album myself, and this increased involvement has only made it more thrilling. Honestly, I can hardly wait.
It was revealed in November 2024 that Scott would lead the lineup at Coachella 2025, sharing the stage with Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. Specifically, Gaga will perform on the first Friday, followed by Green Day and Scott on the second Saturday, while Malone takes the stage on Sunday. The event, spanning over two weekends, is set to take place from April 11-13 and April 18-20. As suggested in a press release, Scott’s performance promises a fresh chapter in his music, offering an “immersive and experiential world within the desert” for Cactus Jack fans. (Source: People)
Additionally performing at Coachella 2025 will be Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Lisa of BLACKPINK, FKA twigs, Anitta, and others.
