Tracker season 2 trailer reveals the surprise return of [spoiler], Jensen Ackles riding in style, and more!

As a dedicated fan of gripping dramas and heart-pounding action, I am thrilled about the upcoming season 2 of Tracker! With its unique blend of adventure, mystery, and a hint of romance, this show has quickly become one of my favorite CBS offerings.

A peek at the second season of Tracker reveals some recurring characters and potentially a new romantic interest for Colter Shaw. Discover more details here!

Due to the Hollywood strikes in 2023, CBS had to postpone their television season until February 2024. However, they made an impressive debut by premiering the new drama “Tracker” immediately following the Super Bowl. The series turned out to be a massive success and secured a second season almost instantly.

As a seasoned gamer, I find myself immersed in the thrilling adventures of a character named Colter Shaw, portrayed by Justin Hartley. Raised by a survivalist father who was also a professor, Colter has honed his skills to navigate the wilderness and solve complex problems. This wandering hero traverses the nation, taking on various tasks to aid people in need – from finding missing folks to recovering lost treasures.

Due to the strikes, Season 1 consisted of just 13 episodes, but for Season 2, there will be a total of 22. It seems like the series is set to start off strong, with Colter resuming his distinctive tasks and embarking on some thrilling escapades!

See who’s coming for Tracker season 2!

The preview combines clips from forthcoming episodes, each featuring Colter venturing to a fresh location where he interacts with the locals in a unique manner. Additionally, it subtly suggests that our main character could encounter a secretive organization, possibly enlightening him about why his father removed their family from public life.

The main cast undergoes a shift, as Robin Weigert, known for her role as Teddi, Tracker’s agent, is no longer part of the show. However, we catch a glimpse of Velma (Abby McEnany), but there are no signs yet of what might have transpired with Teddi.

In this installment, we continue to see more of lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene) helping Colter out of predicaments. Additionally, Ackles reappears as Russell, and the two are seen driving a vehicle reminiscent of “Baby” from Supernatural. This could hint at them working on a case that might delve deeper into their shared paternal history.

In simpler terms, the unexpected return of Billie Matalon – a fellow bounty hunter from season 1 – has been announced. Her on-screen relationship with Colter is pleasant to watch, which isn’t surprising as Billie is portrayed by Hartley’s real-life spouse, Sofia Pernas.

Her presence in the trailer includes the pair sharing a dance and Reenie teasing Colter about him and Billie getting closer, which he brushes off. While the producers have shot down the idea of Billie getting her own spin-off, her presence with Colter in season 2 looks fun as the pair are a good “will they or won’t they” couple on the job.

The second season of Tracker seems to offer an enticing blend of action, romance, a touch of comedy, and Colter delving deeper into a secretive group connected to his past. Taken as a whole, it promises to surpass the first season as it carries forward this successful new CBS series!

Tracker season 2 premieres Sunday October 13 at 8/7c on CBS.
