Toxicity is ramping up in The First Descendant, as players are getting reported for…fixing loadouts

As a dedicated player of The First Descendant, I’ve seen my fair share of frustration and annoyance within the community lately. The recent surge of reports against AFK farmers has become a hot topic, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s disheartening to see players leeching experience and rewards without contributing to the team.

As an avid player of The First Descendant, I’ve noticed a growing issue within our gaming community: the notoriety of AFK farmers. These players have been idling in the game without contributing to missions or collaborative efforts, essentially freeloading on the hard work of others. And let me tell you, no one appreciates that in a group project!

Unfortunately, some social media posts suggest that blameless gamers are being targeted unjustly due to inactivity during gameplay. For instance, a Reddit user named goomptatroompta was identified as a suspect because they were taking their time to adjust their equipment at the start of a mission. Normally, when a player is reported, they will not be made aware of it. The only way to discover if someone has reported you is if they inform you directly, which in this scenario, the accusing teammate did.

A heated dispute arose between the two players naturally. Despite goomptatroompta’s attempts to clarify their situation, the situation had already escalated. The report is unlikely to result in any punishment since they weren’t technically AFK farming. Nevertheless, incidents like this demonstrate the propensity of players to react impulsively to minor hassles. Consequently, a ‘vote to kick’ feature could be detrimental to the game.

Despite my previous comments, Nexon must find a friendly solution to address the current surge of AFK farmers in The First Descendant. If not, this problem may persist and lead to frustrated players leaving for alternative looter shooters. In the meantime, check out our guides on farming Mixed Energy Residue and obtaining the Matrix Recomputation Module in The First Descendant. These resources will help make your material collection more efficient within the game.
