As a dedicated gamer and avid follower of Tower of God, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the release of Season 2 Episode 4. The anticipation was palpable as I logged in to my favorite streaming platform at precisely 7 a.m. PST on July 28, 2024.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4  was released on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 7 a.m. PST. The episode “Ramen and The Great Big Sky” focuses on the match between Jue Viole Grace and Proctor Love.

In the beginning of the episode, Proctor Love discloses that Fug was responsible for his parents’ deaths. He then queries Viole about why he had joined Fug’s group. Yet, Viole responds by stating that he is on a search for someone. Love ponders if it’s for revenge, but Viole clarifies that he won’t be certain until he encounters the person in question. Simultaneously, Yihwa experiences an assault from an assassin employed by the Prince. Furthermore, the episode unveils Kim Lurker and Robdevil’s treachery towards the Prince.

What happened in Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4?

Nia Betrays Wangnan

After Yihwa was attacked by the masked man called Tan, Wangnan and his group successfully entered their fifth room. Wangnan phoned Nia to share this news, but instead, he encountered Kim Lurker on the line. Surprised, Wangnan inquired as to how Kim had managed to join them inside.

Instead of “However, Lurker revealed that Nia had opened the door for him,” you could say “Nia had let Lurker in.” And instead of ” however, an old woman saved him, and he gave up climbing to help her,” you could paraphrase it as “An old woman intervened and stopped him from continuing his climb. He chose to assist her instead.”

Regrettably, she was indebted to Kim Lurker, who asked for her repayment in return for extending a hand of assistance. He felt remorseful for having deceived Wang-nan. But Wang-nan sympathized with him and acknowledged his actions were driven by the intention to save someone.

I was hiding in the shadows, watching as Lurker declared he had no plan to pay off the old woman’s debt. Suddenly, Nia flew towards him in a fit of rage. But before she could reach him, Lurker grabbed hold and brutally attacked him. I watched in horror as Wang-nan listened on, powerless to intervene. As Lurker’s blows rained down, I could only feel my heart race and my breath catch in my throat. Once it was all over, I bolted from the room, shouting to my teammates that this wasn’t the end.

Jue Viole Grace vs. Proctor Love

After Nia’s passing, the episode centres around Viole’s confrontation with Proctor Love. Love warns him that this is his final opportunity to capture the connector if he fails in their game. He charges towards Viole, intending to obstruct his way. Nevertheless, Viole can outmaneuver the instructor by mimicking his actions.

Although Love was taken aback at first, he could ultimately control the situation by freezing time. However, Wang-nan intervened and took hold of the connector. He requested Viole’s assistance in eliminating Lurker in return for the connector. Love reached out to grab it, but paused upon learning about Nia’s demise.

According to Wang-nan’s suggestion to Viole, the episode then focuses on Lurker, who appears outside Prince’s chamber with a hypnotized Yihwa. Lurker orders Rob to assassinate the prince, but his scheme is disrupted when Horyang suddenly arrives on the scene.

Lurker orders Yihwa to set Horyang on fire, but before she can do so, Viole appears and fights off the bug controlling her. Prince escapes from Robdevil’s grasp and allows Horyang entrance through the door. Horyang requests that Viole step aside so he can deal with Rob, while he pursues Lurker instead.

Horyang emerges victorious over Rob, unveiling his sinister right arm in the process. Simultaneously, Wangnan confronts Horyang for harming Nia. Lurker reveals that they both have been deceived and manipulated by their chairman, which fuels Wangnan’s desire to put an end to Prince’s reign.

Despite his initial reluctance to take the man’s life, Wangnan chooses to grant him forgiveness instead. He shares this decision with Lurker and vows to alter the tower to prevent similar occurrences in the future. During a later conversation on the terrace between Wangnan and Viole, the latter queries why his enemy was spared. Wangnan reveals that they are not so dissimilar, acknowledging that he too may engage in questionable actions while ascending the tower. The episode concludes with Khun settling down.
