As a dedicated follower of Malayalam cinema, I am thrilled to see Tovino Thomas venturing into Telugu films with his much-anticipated movie, Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM). His dedication to learning the language for the role is commendable and reminds me of my own attempts to learn Malayalam after being captivated by his performances. I remember struggling with the pronunciation of simple words like ‘Maniyan’ and ‘Kunjikelu’, roles Tovino will be playing in ARM, just as he might find Telugu challenging but exciting.
Tovino Thomas is currently publicizing his upcoming film Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), slated for release on September 12, 2024 during Onam celebrations. In a recent gathering before its premiere, the actor expressed his desire to work in Telugu films and shared his plans to acquire fluency in the language.
About that topic, the actor mentioned, “When working on a Telugu film, I’ll ensure I have a good grasp of the language basics. I believe talks are underway, so I expect things to move forward quite soon.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I reached out to my dear friend Dulquer to seek his advice on learning Telugu. To my surprise, he mentioned it’s quite straightforward. However, I’m finding it challenging at the moment, but I’m determined to take it one step at a time, just like I would with any new language or lifestyle endeavor.
At the same gathering, the actor shared stories about his initial and cherished experiences with Telugu cinema. In an open discussion, Minnal Murali’s actor disclosed that his first Telugu action hero was Megastar Chiranjeevi, starring in the timeless film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (JVAS), which left a lasting impression on him.
The actor also mentioned that he frequently watched movies dubbed by Allu Arjun in the past. Reminiscing about his time in 10th grade when he used to watch Arya, he commented on his belief that Pushpa’s star is a brilliant performer, an opinion shared even by the National Award jury.
Speaking about the upcoming movie of the actor, titled Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), it’s a fantastical journey directed by Jithin Laal. This film takes place across three distinct time frames, encompassing three generations.
In the movie, the actor portrays three distinct characters: Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan. Set in Northern Kerala, this film revolves around hidden riches within the earth and the brave individuals who endeavor to safeguard them.
In the starring role is Tovino Thomas, while notable actors like Krithi Shetty (making her Malayalam film debut), Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Basil Joseph, Anson Paul, Rohini, Harish Uthaman, Elango Kumaravel, and others assume significant roles in this production.
Additionally, the actor will once again take on the character of Jatin Ramdas in the upcoming film L2: Empuraan, alongside Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Notably, he’ll also collaborate with Trisha Krishnan for his next project, Identity, which is being billed as a suspenseful movie.
