As a gamer who’s been through countless matches and storylines, I can empathize with LA Knight’s journey. He’s a player who’s not afraid to take risks, to go off-script when the situation calls for it, much like how I sometimes deviate from the game’s intended path to discover hidden secrets or shortcuts.
Over time, quite a few WWE RAW and SmackDown stars have encountered issues with their superiors within the company. Lately, it’s come to light that WWE United States Champion LA Knight has had disagreements with those in charge.
Over the last twelve months, LA Knight has significantly increased in popularity among fans. Last year was particularly successful for him as he consistently resonated with the crowd and received standing ovations each week. Consequently, WWE made the strategic move to elevate Knight’s status within the company.
Last year’s WWE SummerSlam marked the beginning of his journey when he triumphed in the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal. After this monumental victory, he found himself embroiled in a series of events with The Bloodline and John Cena. This ongoing rivalry led him to join forces with Cena against The Bloodline’s members, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.
The dispute eventually culminated in a WWE Undisputed Championship battle against Roman Reigns for Knight. Although Knight lost the match, his popularity persisted. Jump ahead to today, Knight is the current WWE United States Champion. He secured the title by vanquishing Logan Paul at SummerSlam. Despite achieving such monumental success in a single year within the WWE, he recently disclosed that he has encountered issues with higher-ups at WWE.
LA Knight on why he sometimes upsets WWE higher ups
Recently, LA Knight shared with Sportbible his belief in self-authenticity and remaining genuine. He elaborated on occasions where he faces issues with WWE officials due to his preference for a less structured approach during work, opting for more spontaneity instead.
LA Knight explained, “At times, I find myself in tricky situations because I prefer a more improvised approach. Sometimes, WWE management wants a bit more structure. I strive to find the balance between the two, and for me, it’s about listening carefully and responding rather than planning everything out in advance.
LA Knight underscored the importance of being an honest and sincere artist. He stated, “I aim to be as genuine as possible and resonate with everyone in the audience, so I need to pay attention. Instead of sticking to a predetermined plan, simply being able to express myself authentically has been incredibly beneficial.
As a gamer, I’ve been putting my all into this knight role-play, and while it seems to have stirred up a bit of trouble with the game administrators regarding promotions, I can see that my unconventional style is resonating with fellow players. They appreciate the uniqueness I bring to the table.
