As a devoted wrestling fan who has witnessed the careers of countless legends unfold over the years, I must say that the journey of Adam Copeland, better known as Edge in WWE and now thriving as himself in AEW, is one for the books. His time in the squared circle has been nothing short of extraordinary, with matchups against icons such as The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Randy Orton, and many more etching his name into wrestling history.
In All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Adam Copeland, who is also famously known as WWE Hall of Famer Edge, has been flourishing with great success. Prior to joining this promotion, he enjoyed a highly distinguished career within the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
In the world of WWE, Copeland, known by his stage name Edge, showcased his skills at the pinnacle of the promotion. He engaged in memorable bouts with wrestling icons like The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Randy Orton, and numerous others. Through these encounters, Copeland solidified his place among the greats within the industry.
Following a nine-year absence from wrestling, WWE chose to have Edge establish The Judgment Day group. This alliance was first introduced at WrestleMania 38, with Damian Priest lending aid to Edge during his fight against AJ Styles. Later on, Rhea Ripley joined the group, making it even more powerful.
Yet, a shocking turn of events unfolded when the group switched allegiance from Edge to Finn Balor as their new head. The Judgment Day, initially comprising Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley, has undergone significant changes. Lately, Priest has shared thoughts about how Edge served as a mentor during their time together within the group.
WWE’s Damian Priest talks about Edge’s mentorship in The Judgment Day
Recently, Damian Priest looked back on his days with The Judgment Day and acknowledged AEW star Adam Copeland (formerly known as Edge) for his mentorship during that period. In conversations about their time together, Priest highlighted how Edge provided guidance not just to him but also to other members of the group. He emphasized that Edge’s impact was crucial in their achievements.
As a gamer, I recall Edge sharing an exciting concept with me about The Judgment Day. He said, “Here’s the deal, I want to elevate you and some others to where we all truly belong, on the stage and platform that suits us best.” Being a big fan of Edge, I was thrilled when he asked for my thoughts!
The priest continued explaining the substantial impact it had on their bond, and the member of Judgment Day expressed gratitude for his guidance and making stardom more manageable.
The founding members of The Judgment Day are no longer associated with the group. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley have been taken out of the faction. On the other hand, Copeland, who has recently joined AEW, is currently healing from a broken foot that he suffered in May.
