After the massive $1 billion earnings of Top Gun: Maverick, it’s predicted that Miles Teller will reappear in Top Gun 3 alongside Tom Cruise. This movie remains one of the most eagerly awaited sequels. However, since the release of Maverick in 2022, information about Top Gun 3 and its production has been limited. Recently, Teller provided a brief insight into the next installment in the protracted series.
Miles Teller’s new update suggests Top Gun 3’s filming won’t start soon
The actor is currently gearing up for his upcoming Apple TV+ film, The Gorge. During the promotions for the same, Miles Teller recently commented on what’s going on with Top Gun 3. He is eager to hear from Tom Cruise, who has only given him a glimpse of what comes next.
During a conversation with Steve Weintraub from Collider at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, Teller hinted about Top Gun 3 by saying, “We’ll have to wait and see.” Additionally, he mentioned:

Although there’s no news about when Top Gun 3 might be released or even begin filming, Teller’s remarks indicate that production won’t start right away. He hasn’t heard from Cruise yet and will probably need several months to get in shape for the sequel once he does. So, it looks like we’ll have to wait a while before Top Gun 3 starts being made.
