Netflix has unveiled its initial teaser for “The Overabundant Trailer“, offering a glimpse into the forthcoming romantic comedy series from Lena Dunham, and revealing five fresh celebrities joining the cast.

What happens in the Too Much trailer?

The preview showcases Jess’s (Megan Stalter) challenges, a New York resident who relocates to London following a broken heart, in search of self-discovery. Over time, Jess and Felix (Will Sharpe) gradually establish a connection and develop a romantic relationship.

Additionally, Netflix announced that Andrew Scott, Jennifer Saunders, Kit Harington, Rita Ora, and Jessica Alba will make appearances on the show as special guests.

In addition to the fresh cast members, Too Much features Megan Stalter, Will Sharpe, Michael Zegen, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Leo Reich, Daisy Bevan, Adele Exarchopoulos, Dean-Charles Chapman, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, Stephen Fry, Kaori Momoi, and Adwoa Aboah.

In simpler terms, the character Jessica, around 35 years old, is a workaholic living in New York, struggling with the aftermath of a relationship that ended unexpectedly and pushing everyone away. Her life story seems etched on every New York street. To escape this, she decides to take a job in London, aiming for a solitary existence like the Bronte sisters. However, when she encounters Felix, who is unlike the charming Hugh Grant character from Notting Hill but more similar to Hugh Grant’s drunken flatmate, she finds herself drawn to him despite the complications he brings.

Currently, one might ponder: are English spoken by Americans and Brits essentially the same? This comedic romantic film titled ‘Too Much’, crafted by the mind behind Girls and the team behind Love Actually, targets those who have lost faith in love yet yearn for its existence.

Too Much is scheduled to start streaming on July 10, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
