Tony Stark & Steve Rogers Need To Return To The MCU

As a long-time fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I must admit that the past few years have been a rollercoaster ride for us fans. After the epic conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, which brought the arcs of Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America) to a close, many of us were left feeling a sense of loss and uncertainty about the future of the franchise.

The team-up between Deadpool and Wolverine was highly anticipated within the MCU in recent years. This arrival of this film was particularly timely; the MCU had been facing criticism after “Endgame,” with some fans expressing concern that the franchise had lost its vitality.

One explanation for the pessimistic view towards the MCU is clear: The absence of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers leaves a significant void. Fortunately, the arrival of Deadpool and Wolverine gives us cause for optimism that these beloved characters may make a comeback.

Wolverine’s Return Could Suggest The Same For Stark & Rogers

In 2020, Hugh Jackman announced that Logan would mark his final appearance as the iconic character Wolverine. Yet, by 2024, Jackman has reprised his role in Deadpool and Wolverine.

The unique dynamic between Deadpool and Wolverine has significantly altered the established storyline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, offering an excellent foundation for introducing cherished characters back into the series. This is a potential direction for the franchise to grow and endure as it moves forward.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel that the return of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. to their iconic Marvel Cinematic Universe roles would bring a much-needed breath of fresh air to a franchise that might otherwise be in peril.

What do you think? Would you like to see Iron Man and Captain America return someday?
