As a seasoned analyst with a background in both traditional finance and blockchain technology, I find the partnership between TON Foundation and TADA to be an exciting development that underscores the growing synergy between Web2 and Web3 platforms. Having closely followed the evolution of both Telegram mini apps and TADA, I am particularly intrigued by their potential to revolutionize the ride-hailing industry and facilitate the adoption of digital assets in everyday transactions.
In my latest endeavor, I’ve been involved in an exciting collaboration between the TON Foundation and the Southeast Asian ride-hailing platform, TADA. We are collectively developing a mini application within Telegram, which we’ve branded as TADA mini. This innovative development enables Web3 users to effortlessly book a ride directly from their Telegram messaging app, eliminating the need for registration processes.
In the course of this integration, TADA users will now have the flexibility to utilize both the native TON cryptocurrency and USDT stablecoins for transaction purposes. During the progression of these advancements, Harvey Kim, Head of Korea at TON Foundation, shared his insights.
To swiftly promote the acceptance of web3 technologies, it’s essential that we establish powerful alliances with captivating web2 platforms. These collaborations should make it easy for their users to grasp the numerous advantages of web3. This collaboration marks a significant achievement for us as we aim to expand the TON blockchain’s influence throughout Southeast Asia.
The ride-sharing company plans to demonstrate its latest offering by providing 4,000 free rides during the TOKEN2049 cryptocurrency event taking place in Singapore from September 14 to 18 next week.
With TADA mini, the company intends to revolutionize the ride-sharing sector by simplifying bookings and integrating digital assets with real-world uses. Additionally, the company is venturing into new territories, with the goal of increasing its influence and offering improved accessibility to a wider user base.
In just six years since its founding, TADA now boasts a significant presence across East Asia. The company is actively functioning in nations such as Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
Telegram Mini Apps Gaining Traction
Telegram’s mini apps are becoming increasingly popular because they’re easy-to-use, web-based tools that users can access straight from the messaging service itself. This development is part of a larger strategy by Telegram to grow its presence in the cryptocurrency sector.
Multitudes of game enthusiasts have been enjoying playing hit tap-to-earn games like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Yescoin on the Telegram platform. These engaging titles are connected to the TON blockchain.
In an effort to maximize this growth, Telegram introduced a mini-app marketplace and an integrated web browser capable of supporting Web3 webpages in July, thereby expanding its services within the gaming and cryptocurrency industries.
In the midst of robust expansion, TON Cryptocurrency experienced a significant surge this year in 2024, earning a place among the top ten cryptocurrencies with a market value of approximately $13.6 billion.
