As a long-time Tomb Raider enthusiast who has journeyed through the jungles, temples, and tombs with Lara Croft since the late 90s, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming remastered versions of parts 4 to 6. It feels like a reunion with old friends that I never knew I needed!
At long last, we’ve got the official announcement about when the enhanced editions of Tomb Raider parts 4 through 6 will be available.
These games will be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, and they are compatible with PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A year after the debut of the initial three remastered versions, you can spend your Valentine’s Day with Lara Croft!

What’s new in Tomb Raider Remaster?
The revamped collection emphasizes improved graphics, refined controls, and a fresh photo feature for preserving your preferred scenes.
- Improved Graphics: Textures and lighting have been upgraded to provide a more modern visual experience. A toggle function also lets you switch between the old and new graphics.
- Control Options: The interface and control options now allow players to choose between classic and modern settings for a more comfortable playstyle.

What was it about?
In the initial three Tomb Raider games, the primary emphasis was on puzzles, traps, and enigmas, with combats seldom appearing. These games were more about experiencing traditional adventures, as exploration and puzzle-solving took center stage.
Over time, starting with parts 4 to 6, the series began to deviate from its original approach. These installments, instead, delved deeper into the storyline, incorporated more intricate gameplay mechanics, and advanced Lara Croft’s character development, transforming the gameplay into a more action-packed experience.
In the game, the PvE scenarios grew more difficult, causing a rise in the need for firepower. This change in gameplay was met with varying opinions, particularly regarding “Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness”.
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (Part 4)
In the fourth part of the sequence, we find ourselves back at Lara’s origins, predominantly exploring Egypt. This installment offers a more unified plot compared to its predecessors, immersing players even further into the tale.
In Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, fresh features such as rope-climbing and object-pushing were incorporated, significantly enriching the game’s tomb-exploring experience.
