As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that Tom Holland himself has revealed that the upcoming Spider-Man film, now known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, marks a brand new beginning for our friendly neighborhood hero, following the dramatic events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The fourth installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man is planned for a U.S. theater release in July 2026, placing it between the films “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Sadie Sink from Stranger Things has been chosen for an unspecified role in this upcoming movie.
What did Tom Holland say about Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
On Monday, March 31st, 2025, I stumbled upon some thrilling news at CinemaCon – the title for the next Spidey adventure was unveiled! It’s called Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I can hardly wait to swing into this fresh start!
As reported by The Independent, Holland conveyed his apologies to CinemaCon attendees in a video message because he was currently overseas filming a movie. Since they ended No Way Home with an enormous cliffhanger, Spider-Man: Brand New Day serves as a new beginning. That’s all he could reveal about it.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland’s character, Peter, wiped his own existence from everyone’s memory to safeguard the multiverse. Consequently, his dearest friends, MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), are presently unaware of who he is, as they haven’t been reintroduced to him yet.
At present, the specifics about the storyline for Spider-Man: Brand New Day are still kept secret. The film is being helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, a director renowned for his work on Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which debuted in 2021.
Additionally, it’s important to mention that Holland’s name was missing from the latest cast reveal for Avengers: Doomsday. As a result, it remains uncertain if he will appear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film at this stage.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in United States theaters on July 31, 2026.
