In a recent interview, Tom Ellis, who played the character Oliver in the second season of the Hulu drama series “Tell Me Lies,” has confirmed his return for Season 3. Ellis hinted that his character would have some redeeming moments in the upcoming episodes. Created by Meaghan Oppenheimer, and with Ellis as her real-life partner, “Tell Me Lies” debuted on September 7, 2022, and its second season aired from September 4, 2024 to October 16, 2024.
Tom Ellis confirms Tell Me Lies Season 3 return as Oliver
As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news: In a recent chat with People, the talented actor, Ellis, revealed that Oliver will grace our screens again in Tell Me Lies Season 3! During the CBS Fest in Los Angeles on May 6, he confirmed his return, stating, “Yes, I’m heading back. In fact, I’ll be there on Saturday to start filming.” He even went on to promise us fans that we’re in for a treat with the upcoming season of this captivating series!
Additionally, Ellis shared that he had previously gone through the scripts for the initial four episodes of Season 3. He described them as being “just as dark, toxic, and humorous as before.” Furthermore, he mentioned that the characters managed to outdo themselves with even more absurd actions than you might have imagined.
In Season 3, as the Lucifer star hinted, there will be numerous instances where Oliver could make amends for past actions. Yet, it’s important to note that these moments may not take center stage. Nevertheless, they will significantly contribute to the ongoing narrative involving Bree.
In the second season, a character named Oliver finds himself attracted to Bree, who is portrayed by Catherine Missal. However, during this period, Oliver is already married to Marianne, who is Gabriella Pession’s character. This adds complexity to the relationships among Oliver, Bree, and Marianne. As the story unfolds in the second season, it becomes evident that Oliver and Marianne are involved in an open relationship.
Remarkably, it was confirmed in December 2024 that Tell Me Lies will return for its third season. The series’ cast features Grace Van Patten portraying Lucy, Jackson White as Stephen, and Spencer House as Mike Wrigley.
