As a gamer with a penchant for blockbuster movies and a soft spot for Tom Cruise, I can hardly contain my excitement for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning! With Cruise not only starring but also lending his design skills to AMC Theatres’ popcorn bucket, it’s clear that this movie is going to be something special.

Tom Cruise collaborated on the creation of a special popcorn container for AMC Theatres, specifically for the film “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”.

Upcoming Release: Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, is set to hit U.S. cinemas this May. Tom Cruise returns to portray Ethan Hunt, the IMF agent, once more.

Over Time, Cruise not only appears in and finances the movie production; he also contributed to creating a special popcorn bucket that will be available at AMC Theaters during the release of The Final Reckoning.

Rob Bennett, AMC’s food and beverage product strategy director, reveals that Cruise played a role in designing the new bucket for AMC’s theater chain. This innovative design will make its debut together with Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning next May. While Bennett doesn’t share specific details, he expresses his satisfaction by saying, ‘We really hit the mark!’

What else do we know about Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning?

Joining Cruise in the cast of The Final Reckoning are Hayley Atwell portraying Grace, Ving Rhames taking on Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg stepping into the role of Benji Dunn, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, Esai Morales as Gabriel, Pom Klementieff playing Paris, Henry Czerny cast as Eugene Kittridge, and Angela Bassett assuming the character of Erika Sloane.

The ensemble also features Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Tramell Tillman, and others. The film (previously known as Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two) faced a delay in production due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, but it eventually wrapped up in November 2024.

Christopher McQuarrie, who has previously directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), and the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (2023), is coming back to direct this new movie. McQuarrie collaborated on the script with Erik Jendresen. Additionally, McQuarrie takes on a producer role in the film, while David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Chris Brock serve as executive producers.

In U.S. movie theaters, the latest installment of Mission: Impossible, titled “The Final Reckoning,” is set to premiere on May 23, 2025, and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.
