Tom Cruise, star of Mission: Impossible, recently shared on social media his support for Ryan Coogler’s film, Sinners. He urged fans to catch it in theaters by posting a picture of himself with a Sinners movie ticket in front of the poster. In his caption, he praised Coogler and the entire cast.

He posted on Instagram, “Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and the entire team behind this movie – it’s worth watching in a theater and don’t forget to stay till the very end!”. This comment highlights two special scenes appearing at the end of the film. Michael B. Jordan, one of the actors, acknowledged Cruise’s post with a message expressing his appreciation. In the comments section, Jordan wrote, “Thank you for your love and support!”.

The movie “Sinners” has been both critically acclaimed and financially prosperous. It has grossed more than $161 million worldwide, surpassing its reported budget of $90 million. Additionally, it received an A CinemaScore, the highest rating for an R-rated horror film. The plot revolves around Jordan, who encounters a horrifying supernatural entity upon returning to his hometown with his twin brothers.

Director Ryan Coogler, who’s famed for his work on Creed and Black Panther, planned Sinners as a self-contained movie. In an interview with EBONY, he explained, “I wanted the film to have the feeling of a complete meal: your hors d’oeuvres, main courses, and desserts. I wanted everything present. I wanted it to be a comprehensive and finalized piece. That’s what I was asked about, and that was always my intention.

The movie is currently playing in theaters.
