The article from Guinness World Records states that an actor leaped from a helicopter 16 times while wearing a parachute soaked in fuel and set alight. After igniting, he detached the charred remains of the initial chute and successfully deployed a backup. This number of dangerous falls surpasses any other stunt performed by an actor or stuntman to date. On June 4th, his bravery was recognized with the record title.

…In this scenario, the parachute was previously saturated with fuel and ignited, following which Tom’s safety harness burned out. Subsequently, he would sever the flaming fabric and activate an emergency chute to cushion his landing. However, due to the urgency involved in skydiving from a moving vehicle, the parachute could only remain alight for 2.5 to 3 seconds before disintegrating entirely. Given the multitude of factors at play, Tom and the Mission: Impossible team executed sixteen perilous jumps in pursuit of the ideal action sequence. Remarkably, during some of these leaps, he even carried a 50 lb camera rig strapped to his body to capture close-ups of the thrilling descent.
