Todd Snyder and New Balance have a long history of working together. Over the past few years, they have produced several joint projects such as the 997 “Triborough”, 992 “From Away”, and NB 57/40 “Stony Beach” models, along with many others from previous seasons. Now, this duo has come together again to launch the 574 “Tokyo Prep” Pack, a subtle collection inspired by Japan, featuring their iconic shoe model in a new, Japan-inspired style.
In the latest collection, the design of the shoe has been revamped in two fresh color schemes – “Shiro” and “Gure” – drawing inspiration from the grace of Tokyo. The color scheme is influenced by the city’s organic beige and grey concrete tones, symbolizing its blend of tradition and contemporary style as described by the brand.
The design of this shoe combines sharp leather with suede textures on its upper, while also featuring a fluffy version of New Balance’s “N” symbol on the outer side. Inside, it is filled with EVA foam and ENCAP cushioning for comfort, reinforced by a sturdy polyurethane ring for support.
