As a dedicated fan of quirky and imaginative storytelling, I am thrilled to hear that Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi have started writing scripts for a potential second season of “Time Bandits” on Apple TV+. The first season promises an exciting adventure filled with time-traveling bandits, epic quests, and fascinating encounters with historical figures.
As a passionate gamer and avid fan of “Time Bandits,” I’m excited to share some intriguing news. Co-creator Jemaine Clement recently dropped an update about the potential return of our beloved show for a second season! This announcement arrives just before Apple TV+’s upcoming fantasy adventure series, set to premiere on July 24 with the first two episodes. Can’t wait to see where this magical journey takes us next!
“This story centers around a quirky bandit gang on thrilling journeys, facing imminent dangers to their acquisitions and way of life. As they travel through time and space, the team encounters wondrous civilizations of old, relying on Kevin’s guidance for understanding each situation. The Time Bandits come across the construction of Stonehenge, witness the Trojan Horse in battle, narrowly avoid dinosaurs during the prehistoric era, create chaos during medieval times, endure the Ice Age, and explore ancient civilizations and the Harlem Renaissance, among many other fascinating epochs.”
What did Jemaine Clement say about Time Bandits Season 2?
In a recent interview, Clement revealed that he and collaborator Taika Waititi have begun drafting scripts for possible Season 2 of “Time Bandits” at Apple TV+. Though Apple TV+ hasn’t given an official green light yet.
“We’re currently working on a second season, but its production hinges on the success of the first one,” Clement shared with ComicBook. “If viewership is low, we unfortunately have to abandon it. However, I can’t disclose that information to avoid spoiling the upcoming season.”
As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that I’m part of the creative team behind the new “Time Bandits” series, inspired by the iconic movie. Clement, Waititi, and Iain Morris are leading the charge as creators, executive producers, directors, and writers for certain episodes. Plus, we’ve got me (amazing, right?) and Morris on board as showrunners.
